THP (TAJA's Housing Program) was initially started by CEO Akira Jackson to meet the needs of the TGNB community facing homelessness in the City of San Francisco.
The program has been expanded to include three distinct arms to help protect TGNB housing and to provide an equitable living for all community members.

Emergency Housing

The THP Emergency Housing program helps locate suitable emergency housing by first connecting community members with our community partners (Community-Based Organizations) such as: the Trans Navigation Center, SafeHouse, OTH (Our Trans Home), and others. If suitable housing cannot be established by those means, then TAJA's Coalition provides emergency hotel stays when available.
TAJAs Housing Subsidy

The THP Subsidy Program provides monthly support to those experiencing continuing financial hardships by providing which helps to reduce the cost of housing to only 35% of monthly income in most cases.
Eviction Prevention

The Eviction Protection Program works to provide immediate assistance to those experiencing the threat of losing their housing due to back rent caused by financial hardship. The TGNB community is disproportionately subjected to discrimination and violence due to their identity. We hope this program will protect this vulnerable community by continuing their safety through housing.
